About Us

Throwers of Ludham opened in 1902 by Albert and Helen Thrower, it has been passed down through the generations ever since. Currently, Tom Thrower, Albert's grandson and Guy his great grandson, run the shop, which has naturally seen some changes throughout its history.

In 1960 the shop was extended into the building next door and a new front was added giving it the familiar face that you can now see. Ten years ago Throwers introduced a Post Office to the shop, equipping it with all you would require from a local shop and more.

While the building has undergone some major changes over the years the overall ethos behind Throwers has never changed. As Tom Thrower says, "We are committed to giving a friendly service and we stock what the customer wants". Throwers of Ludham is always busy and Guy and Mr Thrower greet all customers in their genuine friendly manner.
